These Terms govern your use of the KnotMyDebt mobile application. By installing or using the app you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
KnotMyDebt helps you estimate a debt-free date, compare payoff strategies, track spending and budgets, scan statements, and get plain-language guidance from an AI companion. It is provided "as is" for educational and organisational purposes.
KnotMyDebt provides educational financial guidance, not regulated financial advice. We are not a chartered financial adviser, credit counsellor, broker, or lender. Projections are estimates based on the figures you enter and may not reflect your lender's exact terms, fees, or rate changes. Always confirm figures with your lender and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
The app creates an anonymous account automatically so you can start without signing up. You may link an email/password, Google, or Apple account to keep your data and subscription across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
You retain ownership of the financial information you enter. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process it solely to operate the features you use (estimates, AI responses, optional encrypted backup). Your data is stored encrypted on your device; cloud backup is encrypted on-device before upload.
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual), billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and governed by that store's terms. Where offered, a 7-day free trial applies to new subscribers; after it ends the full price is charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your store account settings. Refunds are handled by the applicable store. Prices are shown in USD as a base and localised by each store.
To keep the service sustainable and prevent abuse, statement scans use a fair-use model: on-device OCR is free; cloud extraction is limited per month (Free: 10; Premium: 50). We may enforce limits and suspend accounts that circumvent them or abuse the service.
AI features use Google Gemini to generate explanations and extract data from statements. Results may be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing extracted values before saving them and for verifying any figure you rely on.
The app, its design, mascot, and content are owned by KHUNCHRO. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal purposes.
You must not reverse engineer the app; use it to build a competing service; attempt to access other users' data; upload malicious content; or interfere with the service.
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING RELIANCE ON ESTIMATES OR AI-GENERATED GUIDANCE.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany.
